Christian Horner

Christian Horner’s creations are characterised by their timeless quality and restrained simplicity. His approach to design is simultaneously tough and playful whilst frequently invoking a sense of irony. The elegant deployment of lines and a love for small details are clear hallmarks of his designs.

The designer, born in 1968 in Starnberg, Germany, and raised in Italy, completed his studies in design in Ron Arad’s master class at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 1994 and graduated with honours. He gained experience in well-known design firms in Paris and Milan and through his longstanding work with Bene.

In 2000 he founded the “Soda Designers” design label with Nada Nasrallah. They have worked for Fontana Arte, MDF Italia, Rapsel, Ligne Roset and Wittmann.

Horner has participated in exhibitions at home and abroad, including Design Now (Tokyo), World Best Design (Seoul), Acqua e Cibo at the Triennale di Milano, and others. He has been nominated for the Adolf Loos Staatspreis Design, Red Dot and other national and international design prizes.
