For over forty years, Artemide has been developing design and technology, all aimed at increasing personal well-being. The company was formed in 1960 in Pregnana Milanese.
"The Human Light" concept developed by Artemide takes a brand new approach to light design: Light is not only planned in accordance with the particular architectural features or the objects present in the room, it is also designed according to the specific requirements and ideas of the individual. The search for new and innovative solutions and modern design are at the forefront in this process.
Artemide continuously works with renowned designers in its search for innovation, but also promotes aspiring young talent at the same time. Many of the luminaires created by Artemide have become icons of contemporary design and have made their way into museums such as the MoMA in New York or the Georges Pompidou Centre.
